LETTER: September 27.1943
September 27.1943
Anniversary Card Dear Mom and Dad, I know this card is late but didn”™t get out to get one. Did you receive the telegram greeting? The Red Cross sent it for me. I sent you a package. The wall vase is for you and the candy dish is for Dad, but you may use it, however, (ha) I also got the coat and shoes mailed so you can look for it. And Mom don”™t work on that lunch cloth when your hands are bad and don”™t send it ”˜cause James won”™t be here. Hate to see him go, but as soon as they get started maybe the war will end sooner. James wants me to return to the mainland after he goes, but I am undecided at present. James”™ mums address is Mrs. Currie Solomon, Braxton, Ga. You will have a hard time reading her letters as she is very old. Must close. Be good. Don”™t work too hard. And what are you going to do with all those blue ribbons? Aloha -AraBelle
