LETTER: Wednesday January 6.1943

Wednesday January 6.1943
Dear Mums and Dad, Well here goes for a few lines, lord only knows what I”™ll write about. It”™s quite a job sad ole thing. Saw Slip, he is fine, have attended a few dances, taken the dogs for a walk, work like a horse climbing hills then eat like one but then I”™m happy. Fell down practically one whole hill on my bean on a bike yesterday, sure skinned my knees, ”˜twas really funny for a awhile. Went down the hill today, took in my laundry, got my blues back from the cleaners and got some milk for oyster stew this eve. Don”™t you want some too? Ok will send some. Did you ever get the coconut and that necklace I sent? Henry is sitting here, pestering me; he is one of the ward boys, looks to be about 12, acts three and is very ornery, but cute at times, like most babies. He doesn”™t think he like me writing this, but I”™ll do it anyway. You know me. Bye now -AraBelle (PS -I feel a fight a brewing between H. and me. Well must close -as the fight is getting closer. Confidentially he is little guy so me knows I can lick him.)
