Dear Diary,
December 7 passed here we had an alert and a battle casualty drill and then I went to town and got a December 7 war bond. Instead of the $1 million dollars they wanted, us made $5 million, not bad one thinks. Everyone sure had the spirit -flags of all allied nations flying, very colorful and pretty. Next day Jr went down and got a $100 bond. Some laid down a $1,000 at a time, boy that”™s in there a pitching aye what?!!
