Dear Mums and Dad,
You need to write to Staff Sergeant Lenard Galis. Lettermongen, Hospital San Francisco California and tell him you are rather anxious to receive your books. He may have forgotten or maybe thought he would keep them himself. He is funny sometimes. I am saving pictures for Elaine. I may see Archie Dobelstein, rather busy as yet but one never knows. Anyhow don”™t go worrying your head over such.
About Slip, I never see him and the kids I knew who knew him haven”™t been around for over ten months. So I rather doubt if they are here anymore. No, I have never heard from H. Harris and never from Clifford Shot. Wish you could find out about him. Call up Sted and tell him I think he will look cute in sailor pants. Yep I can just see him, wow.
I took some pictures of Dopey the other day will send them next time if they turn out. Did you get my large picture of me in my blue uniform? Hope so. About my income tax they raised it from this year so I pay and don”™t argue. They say there are two things you have to do that is eat and pay taxes.
I got four of the most beautiful leis the other day from a little kid here; we dance together all the time. One was a pink carnation lei, five inches in diameter and four feet long, really a whooper. We always buy a lei in honor of those who died over here. Well must close for now. The islands are so beautiful now. Spring is in the air and oh the flowers. Love to all with my warmest.
Aloha to all -AraBelle
PS – “Stay away from the pickles and ice,” ha ha.
