The fall of Bataan: 21 Army nurses escape from Corregidor before it fell to the Japanese. Under the cover of darkness 10 of the 21 Army nurses make the trip safely to Australia in a PBY Catalina aircraft. The other 11 Army nurses escaped by submarine.
